Germany and Solar Power

Germany is currently the world’s solar leader? What do you think it will take to make the U.S. the world’s solar leader?

Germany has accepted that climate change is real and that a transition to an non fossil fueled economy will improve Germany’s financial stability by reducing fuel imports. The fact that the effects of global climate change must be reversed and reducing the amount of CO2 can be accomplished by reducing fossil fuel consumption makes for a win win for Germany.

I think China may also follow Europe’s lead and may well become the world leader in usage of alternative energy.

I hope we come to our senses and realize that fossil fuel consumption must be reduced and saved for future generations while reducing our contribution to global warming. Remember that while natural gas is much cleaner than coal and only produces half the CO2 it still is emitting greenhouse gasses. For 37 years now I have been waiting for the U.S. to do the intelligent thing by using alternative energy. We still are far behind the developed world in using it.

I believe that the only way the U.S. can make alternative energy a major energy source is by making it a money making alternative. This will bring in the financial resources necessary to provide the capital to expand the industry.
