"Hybrid" Power Plants

There is talk about applying the term “hybrid” to power plants so as to cut costs and the use of fuel. These plants would use a steam-injection gas turbine that combines the use of conventional fuel with the lower pressures and temperatures of steam produced by solar power. What do you think of this cross industry idea? Will it get more exposure nationally for solar?
