Lightning Threats

With winter coming, I am worried that my solar panels pose as a lightning threat. Should I be worried?

We don't have much lightning on the Central Coast. While not unheard of, it is rare and most systems have some lightning protection. I have had solar on my house for 34 years without any problems.
