SLO Chamber of Commerce Award

Congratulations on your recent award from the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce! What exactly was the award for and what would your advice be to a younger less experienced solar company on how to win one in the future?

The award was for running a business in an environmental friendly manor and providing leadership in energy conservation. There was a Certificate of Recognition from the California State Senate for being honored by the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce for Leadership on Environmental and Sustainability Issues.

The advice I would give newer companies interested in winning this award would be to be active in the community and lead by example. You can’t expect people to change the way they are living unless you are leading by example. In my case we have had a solar home for 33 years and produce 90% of all the energy our home requires from the sun.
