Q: "What are 'solar ponds' and how do they work?"

A: "Solar pond are a way to use a very salty water in a pond and to get hot salt water which gathers on the bottom of the pond. You can use it to make hot water through a heat exchange or use it to run a Rankin cycle turbine to create electricity. Probably for commercial applications in desert areas."
