Central Coast: SOLAR$AVER:
Pre-designed, low-cost, roof-ready solar energy systems for fast, simple installs. Generally, these systems will save design and install costs, while reducing the upper tier utility rates. The simplicity of SolarSaver keeps costs as low as possible yet still delivering energy savings. You will still have a small utility bill, but will be saving anywhere from 15% to 40% from day one. SolarSaver is a great program for immediate, budget-concious homeowners. Learn more. Cannot be combined with any other rebate / incentive.
$500 Idler's In-Store Rebate Promo:
Homeowners who choose a custom designed solar energy system are eligible to receive up to a $500 cash rebate toward any Idler's sales receipt within the last 3 months. A perfect opportunity to add an energy efficient appliance and save even more. Learn more. Cannot be combined with any other rebate / incentive.
Residential Solar Electric Tax Credit:
Homeowners are still eligible to take a 30% federal income tax credit Consult your tax professional.
Residential Solar Water Heating Tax Break:

Residential Solar Electric System Depreciation:
Qualifying solar energy equipment is eligible for a cost recovery period of five years. For equipment on which an Investment Tax Credit (ITC) or a 1603 Treasury Program grant is claimed, the owner must reduce the project’s depreciable basis by one-half the value of the ITC. This means the owner is able to deduct 85 percent of his or her tax basis.
