Roof for Solar Panels

Blog, Solar Electric, September 2011 - solaruser Monday, 19 September 2011

Do you need a certain type of roof to install solar panels? Does it have to be slanted? What if I have wooden shingles?

We can install on almost any roof. The first question should be does my roof have sunshine on it and how much shading is there on the roof? We can do a complete shade analysis and tell you how much shading would affect your system if any. Wood shingles are rare these days due to the fire hazards associated with them, but with that said, we learned how to install solar on wood roofs over 30 years ago.
