Mission & Values

Our Mission
Our mission is to help Central Coast residents achieve energy independence, save money and enrich their lives. We achieve this with the highest quality service, products, integrity, and respect.

Our Commitment
To always do the right thing, by our employees, our customers, our vendors, our communities, our planet.

Our Vision
Our vision is for every building and residence on the Central Coast to have a net-zero energy and resource consumption footprint.

Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is simple. Be kind. Live local. Work hard. Consume less. Respect others. Make a positive difference every day.

A Business Founded on Doing the Right Thing
It all started after the oil embargo of 1973. Local Cal Poly engineering graduate Michael Emrich, saw an opportunity to improve our energy use and habits by finding ways to harness and distribute energy locally. Thus Solarponics began installing some of the first solar energy systems on the central coast, and some of those are still in operation today. Local Solar Energy Company Since 1975
Being the best local solar energy company means: being involved in our communities, supporting local not-for-profits, setting a good example, speaking out to protect our best interests and the best interests of others, volunteering, choosing people over profit, and always doing the right thing. This has earned us Best of North County seven years running, Nationally ranked #14 by BestCompany.com, Atascadero Business of the Year, Guild Quality Certified, San Luis Obispo Green Company of the Year, Pacific Coast Business Times Family Business of the Year, Home Advisor Elite Service Provider, BBB Accredited, Platinum Awarded Family-Focused Business by the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, and Angie’s List Super Service Award Contractor.
