Solar Thermal Water Heating
Solar thermal swimming pool water heating is very affordable, efficient, saves money, and renewable, but requires roof space. A solar thermal water heating system works by circulating your pool water through the systems tubes which are heaterd by the sun. We install Heliocol Solar Thermal Swiming Pool water heating panels. Heliocol systems are environmentally save, low maintenance, and roof friendly.
Heliocol solar pool heating panels were used for the summer Olympic swimming pools in Atlanta, Beijing, and Athens. Heliocol swimming pool heating systems have 12-year warranty and start as low as $9,000. Energy use is less than $400 for the year.
Heat Pump Water Heater
swimmingNext to solar thermal heating, a heat pump swimming pool water heater is the most energy efficient pool heater on the market, up to 70% more efficient than a traditional electric water heater.
A heat pump swimming pool heater extracts heat energy from outside air and transfers that heat to the water being circulated from your pool through the heat pump system. Heat pump water heaters work exceptionally well in our mind climate.
A heat pumps energy use can be 100% offset via a solar PV system. Reliable. Efficient, renewable. Heat pump swimming pool systems start as low as $11,000, and have zero energy costs when installed with solar.
Electric Water Heater
Traditional electric swimming pool heaters feature a simple design with a heating element like you might see on an electric stove, and heats water as it passes throught the unit. These units are only suitable for small pools and spas of less than 10,000 gallons. Anything beyond that, electric element swimming pool heaters are inefficienct and expensive to operate. We do not recommend an electric pool heater. Install costs start at $9,000, with operating costs exceeding $1,800 per year.
Gas Water Heater
,Natural gas are a reialble way to warm your swimming pool water. However, gas prices are unstable and rising dramatically as we have seen. Plus, natural gas is not a renewable or clean energy source. We feel that, in most situations, a Heliocol solar pool heating system or a heat pump electric water heating system is a cheaper, cleaner, and more energy efficienct option. Install costs are similar to an electric swimming pool heater, about $5,000, with operating costs $10/hr to operate, or $200 to $600 per month. Propane water heaters can cost upwards of $800 per month to keep a swimming pool comfortable.

Variable Speed Pool Filter Pumps
Solarponics features and installs Pentair IntelliFlo Variable Speed Pool Filter Pumps. Most swimming pool filter pumps that are more than 10 years old are single speed pumps.
